Thank you for your support in 2011. We look forward to you joining us in 2012 for some amazing events. Here are just a few of the events we have planned.

FEBRUARY AFRICAN-AMERICAN PLACES

This 29-part radio series produced by the Beulah Rucker Museum and Brenau University’s WBCX Radio will highlight structures that once stood and served the business, educational and recreational communities for Africans-Americans in Gainesville/Hall County. The vignettes will air daily, throughout the month of February in honor of Black History Month. The vignettes are hosted by various board members, and were researched by Linda Rucker Hutchens and Ella Jean Wilmont Smith, authors of the Black American Series, Hall County Georgia…

FEBRUARY MOVIE NIGHTS AT THE MUSEUM

In honor of Black History Month, The Beulah Rucker Museum will host Black History Nights each Tuesday evening in February. Each Tuesday evening, we will show videos on the history of Gainesville and Hall County, and The African-American Journey to this country from 1450 through 1865. This is a great opportunity for the entire to learn some history of Gainesville, and African-American history in general. The showings are free to the public on a first come first serve basis. You may also reserve your seat by emailing rojene@charter.net. Show times are 7 pm each Tuesday in February.
