FEBRUARY AFRICAN-AMERICAN PLACES
This 29-part radio series produced by the Beulah Rucker Museum and Brenau University’s WBCX Radio will highlight structures that once stood and served the business, educational and recreational communities for Africans-Americans in Gainesville/Hall County. The vignettes will air daily, throughout the month of February in honor of Black History Month. FEBRUARY MOVIE NIGHTS AT THE MUSEUM
In honor of Black History Month, The Beulah Rucker Museum will host Black History Nights each Tuesday evening in February. Each Tuesday evening, we will show videos on the history of Gainesville and Hall County, and The African-American Journey to this country from 1450 through 1865. This is a great opportunity for the entire to learn some history of Gainesville, and African-American history in general. The showings are free to the public on a first come first serve basis. You may also reserve your seat by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Show times are 7 pm each Tuesday in February.
AUGUST Back To School Rally 2012
The purpose of the Back To School Rally 2012 is to bring attention to the youth of Gainesville/Hall County the value and importance of staying in school, and completion of their primary education. This year for the Rally, we’re conducting a year long campaign to collect school supplies to give to each student. The Rally will take place August 11, 2012 from noon until 4p.m. at The Beulah Rucker Museum.
